BioTammy Daine was born in 1853 in Turku, Finland.
In 1865, Tammy’s life came crashing down when her parents were murdered in their beds. After finding them the next morning, Tammy seemed to handle the situation well... too well. While living with her grandparents it was discovered that, often times, Tammy’s mannerisms changed. She became angrier and nastier. Cheerfulness turned to bitterness and sweet turned to sarcastic. It was when Tammy turned 13 that Edie made her first real appearance.
When she was 15, Edie was taken into 'psychiatric care'. She despised the place. At the time there was no real help for people like her as they didn't fully understand her condition. When she was 16, partly by accident partly on purpose, she burnt the facility to the ground, helping out as many patients as she could.
Edie became the dominant personality and though Tammy occasionally shines through, Edie has control over their body. Born from the anger and pain of Tammy’s parent’s murder, Edie was the hateful counterpart developed to protect Tammy from the pain she felt. Edie is extremely protective of Tammy, even when it seems she's irritated by her. She was formed for the purpose of keeping Tammy safe from pain and takes it personally when Tammy is targeted, never seeing it as herself as the victim. She loves Tammy, though they share a body, Edie looks at themselves as twin sisters.
She speaks of herself the same way anyone else does, but on the occasions when Tammy is more 'awake' than usual she may refer to herself as two people, (we, us, etc). It's not often but when she does it, people will assume Tammy is speaking to Edie (inside their head).
She almost always has an apple in her hand, a habit she took up in an attempt to quit smoking. She likes to drink and if offered a smoke, she will struggle to decline, though she doesn't carry her own. She is confident in her own skin and isn't afraid to wear little to no clothing (to an extent). She enjoys swimming and has several swimsuits, which she mostly wears because not everyone appreciates a woman skinny dipping. She's constantly changing clothes, to an almost obsessive amount. It's a miracle she only has one bag and a handbag with the number of clothes she has.
Edie doesn't like taking orders and hates being made to do things she doesn't want to. Tammy is often willing to follow instructions, this is born of insecurities, something Edie is happy to push to the back of their mind.
Though she’s a bitch, Edie is open to meeting new people. This does not mean she’ll like them. She struggles with people looking at her like she's crazy. This stems from her love for Tammy and her refusal to admit that it isn't healthy for her to exist.
Her mutations consist of creating and manipulating fire (her strongest ability), power mimicry but to use it, Edie must keep physical (skin-to-skin) contact (with some mutations it is unsuccessful), healing abilities (weaker than Logan and Victor’s and large, serious injuries leave physical scars), and low level empathy.
